Hi There,
Thanks for taking a few minutes to find out a little bit more about me. I’m the guy behind NetworkingCertified.com.
I recently completed graduate school with a Management of Information Systems (MIS) degree. I now work as a Infrastructure Project Manager in the information services division of a large company. I’ve been with my current employer for almost two years now, and I must say I really enjoy the work. In addition to my schooling, I also have several years experience in the areas of networking, security, web development, freelancing, and social media. Like many of us though, I am always looking for new growth opportunities in my life.
Infrastructure and more specifically networking have been my heart and soul ever since my first tech class in high school. I can’t get enough of it. I have a true passion to learn as much as possible about networking because I enjoy it, which is why I obtained my CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) in 2008. I’m now working on my CCNP & CCSP as we speak – wish me luck! I created this website in an effort to solve a problem. While studying for my CCNA, I noticed there weren’t too many good online resources that were kept up to date for one to reference when studying for an exam. I also noticed that the official study materials provided by Cisco and other companies often seemed to be overly complex, wordy, and confusing when trying to figure out how to study for an exam like the CCNA. So I decided to to create my own study guide after passing my CCNA exam and later launched this website to further support a quality study community for the Cisco exams. The backbone of my study guide package and this website comes from my notes, charts, examples, and other useful information I’ve gathered and compiled along the way to becoming CCNA certified.
My goal was to create something that was simple to understand and to the point providing someone with the exact material they would need to know for the CCNA exam. Initially, I only offered my study guide to fellow students, friends, and colleagues. Over time though as the number of people asking to borrow my study materials continued to grow, I became motivated to compile them into an official guide for any aspiring CCNA hopeful. And with that, the CCNA Certification Training Guide was born.
Looking Ahead:
I will continue to update and maintain this guide largely around the feedback I get from readers such as yourself as I continue my quest for new Cisco certifications in order to further build my knowledge and skill set. Looking ahead, I hope to one day start my own small business and be self employed. I really believe that finding your true passion in life and turning that into your day job is one of the best things anyone can do for themselves. Slowly, but surely I’m achieving my goals. Hopefully this site and guide will help you to achieve your own goals.
If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions about anything related to the CCNA, Networking Certified, or the Cisco Certification Training Guide, please don’t hesitate to email me using the contact form above (or feel free to leave a comment in the FAQ section).
I wish you the best of luck!
- Steve
